Pie Time is developed by Penny Software. This privacy policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information We Collect

Pie Time does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. We do not require you to create an account or provide any identifying information to use the app.

How the App Works

When you open Pie Time, your device sends a request to our server to retrieve the daily pie recipe. This request does not include any personal data, location information, or device identifiers beyond what is standard in any HTTPS web request (such as your IP address, which is not logged or stored by us).

The daily pie recipe is generated using the Anthropic Claude API. No personal information is sent to Anthropic as part of this request.

Local Notifications

Pie Time sends you a daily notification at 3:14 PM. This is handled entirely on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. We have no visibility into whether you receive or interact with these notifications.

Local Storage

The app caches today's pie recipe on your device so it loads quickly on repeat visits. This data is stored locally using standard iOS mechanisms and is never transmitted to us.

Third-Party Services

Pie Time uses the following third-party services to operate:

Supabase — used to host our server-side function that generates and caches the daily recipe. Supabase's privacy policy can be found at supabase.com/privacy.
Anthropic — used to generate pie recipes via the Claude API. Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

Pie Time does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
